"May the 1/4" be with you!"
Clinton, IL – The Salt Creek Patchmakers Quilt Guild is excited to announce their annual show, “Sew Out of This World”, taking place on Friday and Saturday, March 6-7, 2026, at Little Galilee Christian Camp in Clinton. Open from 9 AM to 4 PM each day, this year’s event invites quilt enthusiasts and newcomers alike to experience the art and tradition of quilting. Admission is $8, cash or check only, with free entry for children under 12.
The show will feature a variety of quilts on display, including the Guild Round Robin Challenge and UFO’s-Finished! categories. Attendees can explore a range of inspiring designs and techniques in these non-voting exhibits, showcasing the creativity and skill of Guild members. There will also be a Winner’s Showcase of last year’s voters favorites, as well as a theme category Galaxy Quilts featuring star quilt blocks.
A highlight of the show will be a special Bed Turning Event, scheduled for 10:30 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM daily. This cherished tradition showcases quilts layered on a bed, turned back one at time as each quilt’s story is heard. This year attendees will enjoy quilts from the collection of Shirley Monkman, owner of Quilter’s Delight in Clinton.
The Quilting Expo will host vendors offering a variety of fabrics, tools, yarns, and notions for sale. Additionally, visitors can browse gently used quilting supplies, books, and other crafting items as Guild members “de-stash” their sewing rooms. The Patchmaker’s Boutique will offer a selection of unique, handmade quilted items crafted by Guild members-perfect for gift giving or adding a personal touch to your home.
Don’t forget to stop by the Quilter’s Café, where soups, desserts, and beverages will be served.

Lunch and desserts will be available to purchase.
We're happy to have Quilter's Delight, Indigo Quilt Studio, Stewart's Sewing Center, Old Master Pen Shoppe, Be Sew Blessed Quilts, and Leading Men Fiber Arts provide items for you to buy on your quilting and crafting adventures.
Our 2026 Bed Turning will feature quilts from the collection of regional "Superstar" Shirley Monkman, owner of Quilter's Delight in Clinton, IL. Shirley is a long-time member and supporter of the Salt Creek Patchmakers and other local guilds. She started quilting in 1996 but has been sewing since age 8. Many may have met Shirley when she taught sewing classes. She opened her quilt shop the year after making her first quilt. Shirley says, "Coming to the shop each day brings life to each day. I'm so glad I'm here when I come to work!"
Her favorite quilts contain applique or flowers. Design work is fun because she enjoys the challenges of matching patterns and colors.
Our members are sharing our stashes and excess supplies at our annual "garage sale" during the quilt show.
